Meet Kate, a true organic beauty who against all odds has shown how positively green living can impact your life! We love her dedication towards practicing a non-toxic, organic lifestyle. She’s living proof that healing your body without prescription medication is possible! She shares her journey to the green life below – be sure to check her out below!
What got you into living an organic life?
For years, I struggled with debilitating health problems from anxiety and fatigue to hormonal imbalances, acne to digestion disorders. I tried everything–I saw dozens of doctors and specialists, I tried a handful of expensive and serious prescription medication, I had a colonoscopy at 27, and ultimately, nothing worked. At the end of my rope, I decided to make an appointment with a holistic doctor. And everything changed. She put me on a natural treatment plan and within weeks I saw incredible results. I was hooked–organic, non-toxic, green living has changed my life and I’ve never felt better!
What’s been your biggest challenge as an organic blogger?
It’s really difficult to monetize when you have organic standards–the big brands that have the big budgets aren’t exactly in line with my organic, real-food, non-processed eating philosophy. And the brands that are doing it right don’t have huge marketing budgets. But at the end of the day, I’d rather have my integrity and only work with brands I truly believe in and brands that are making a positive impact on the world, rather than sacrificing our health for a dollar.
What do you hope readers take away from your blog?
First that natural living is possible without crazy sacrifices. Second that healthy and delicious can co-exist. And finally, that healing your body without prescription medication is possible! I’m living proof!
Advice you would tell other bloggers trying to get into the industry?
Be prepared to work. Blogging is so much harder than I ever imagined, you have to wear a million different hats, there’s always something to be doing and it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. Delegate, hire help, look to the experts and even better if you can work with a coach or mentor to help personally guide you toward your dreams.
